This soap base is clear and resistant to clouding. Recommended for making solid soap intended for use in humid climates.
Soaps made from this base must be hermetically sealed, since the base contains a high percentage of water. If the soap is stored unpackaged, it will simply dry out. This is very important — please give it your full attention! The soap base takes quite a while to set, which is very convenient when working with a pipette. For beginners in soap-making, this is the most suitable option. We therefore confidently recommend starting with this soap base.
The soap base does not contain sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS Free)! It does not contain any animal-derived ingredients.
Working with this soap base is very easy and simple:
- Cut into cubes about 10 mm thick (~1 cm);
- Heat in a water bath at 65-70 °C, or use a microwave, which is much faster and more convenient.
Tip: Be careful when using a microwave, as different units have different power levels. Check the soap base often, and over time you will learn exactly how many seconds are needed for complete melting. The main thing is not to let it boil!
Very important guidelines for working with this soap base:
- Do not exceed 75 °C!
- Do not bring to a boil! Let the melted base rest at 65 °C.
Wrap soaps airtight. The base contains a high water fraction; without packaging, bars can dry out over time.
